FAQs

If you have any other questions or concerns that are not listed here, please reach out to Shirley or Tushar directly.
Question

Can I bring a plus one or date?

Answer

Yes, most plus ones have already been invited. If you'd like to add someone, please inquire with us immediately. Thanks for your understanding!

Question

Can I bring my child/children with me?

Answer

Actually, yes! We've included your little ones in your invitations. Please confirm their attendance in your RSVP so we can understand the quantities needed to accommodate them.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

This will be an all outdoor wedding. In the chance of rain, we will be moving indoors. There will be shade and items for cooling as we expect warm temperatures in the early evening (70-80s).

Question

What is the weather and climate like in the area?

Answer

The summer weather in Los Altos is hot during the day and cool at night. There is typically a cool breeze throughout the day so that should provide a bit of relief from the dry hot air. Because it cools during the night, we recommend a light jacket or cover. Sunscreen and sunglasses are advised during the day!

Question

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

We'll be having a full vegetarian/vegan menu and appetizers. We will not be having any type of meat or seafood dishes or appetizers. The menu will still contain eggs and dairy. Some dishes may contain meat alternatives (tofu or seitan).

Question

Can I bring my own alcoholic drinks or outside food?

Answer

No. Please refrain from bringing outside alcohol or food, unless it is specifically for your child(ren) and their needs.

Question

What's the Guest Dress Code?

Answer

For this event, please wear Garden Attire. Men: Wear suits or button downs in lighter or muted hues. Women: Wear sundresses, midi or floor length dresses (floral prints are okay). Please avoid wearing gold, white, ivory, red or dark green, as these are the wedding colors. Those in thin-strapped dresses or tops, please ensure your shoulders can be covered, out of respect for the monks attending. Wide silk or linen scarves are acceptable for coverage. Additionally, the cocktail reception will be on gravel, so wear shoes accordingly. Question

Do we need to wear traditional clothing?

Answer

No! But if you'd like to wear Bengali or Khmer traditional clothing, we'd appreciate it if you could stay within the Guest Dress Code color palette ❤️

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the venue?

Answer

No. Please coordinate your own transportation. You can find our recommendations on the "Travel" page above.

Question

What's the easiest way to get to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

Driving for sure! Uber or Lyft will save you time on finding parking.

Question

If we are driving, where should we park?

Answer

There is be a decent amount of parking around the building, as it shares the lot with the library. More parking can be found at the community center, which is just past the museum itself.
