Adkins Arboretum is located in the middle of the Delmarva peninsula, about a 1.5-2 hour drive from DC. We recommend booking a place to stay in Easton or Denton. Easton is a larger town with more things to do, while Denton is smaller and closer to the venue. We will be providing transportation to and from the wedding venue—please indicate on your RSVP if you would like a seat on the shuttle. Please note that Uber and Lyft will be difficult to come by in this area.
If driving from the DC or Baltimore area, expect to hit traffic on the Chesapeake bay bridge (see https://baybridge.maryland.gov/best-times-to-travel for more information).
For those outside of driving distance, we recommend flying into BWI or New Castle Airport (ILG) and renting a car for maximum enjoyment of the surrounding areas.

For those who enjoy a night under the stars and don’t mind a little bug spray, cabins and camping are available around a 2 mile hike or 5 min drive from the Arboretum in Tuckahoe State Park. Cabins can sleep 4-6 people, and a few are dog friendly.
