The proposal

Merry Christmas to us!

On Christmas eve of 2018, Christopher involved my whole family in on this surprise. My dad walked me into their kitchen, my mom and brother were standing there. My mom took a video on her phone, and Christopher was down on one knee and he asked me to be his wife. It was the sweetest moment, so filled with love, and to make it even more magical he asked with the most gorgeous engagement ring! I could not have asked for a more special way to be asked to spend forever with my best friend and the love of my life. -Ashley I had decided to ask Ashley to marry me and began the ring shopping process. I met a gentleman who owns a jewelry store. He let me look through a selection of diamonds and a book of bands. The second I saw the band I knew it was the one I would get, and after looking at the diamond, I knew that it too was perfect for the woman I love. I rented a safe deposit box at work to keep the ring safe and away from Ashley's eyes. I asked her parents who said yes and that they would be so happy to have me be a part of the family! I told them I wanted to do it on Christmas Eve. When that night came I was so nervous, constantly touching the small ring box tucked away in my pocket. My palms were sweaty as I tried to find a good time to gather the family and ask Ashley to marry me. Finally, her dad took her down the hall and I ran to the kitchen. Her mom and brother were there ready with phones to record. As Ashley walked into the kitchen, I was already down on one knee, ring in hand. I asked the most important question of my life, and got the best answer. She had said yes. I am going to marry my best friend and love of my life. -Chris
