When is everyone getting into town?

Answer

Most are getting into Scotland a few days prior to the wedding. This way, we can go out together Wednesday and Thursday night.

Where do I fly into?

Answer

I would try and fly into Edinburgh as that is where our home base will be. However, if you do fly into Glasgow there is a train and a bus to get you to Edinburgh.

Should I rent a car?

Answer

You should only plan on renting a car if you would like to go see more of Scotland! Otherwise, ride share is widely available in Edinburgh and Glasgow. When around Moffat (the wedding venue) there are local taxis that can be prearranged if you want to go into town on Friday night and Saturday morning/early afternoon just make sure your return trip is prebooked.

How do I get to your wedding venue?

Answer

We will by hiring a bus to pick everyone up at The Market Street Hotel and transport everyone to Auchen. As of now, the bus will be leaving at 3pm, and arriving at Auchen around 4:30pm. For the return, the bus will be leaving at 10:00 am on Sunday, October 19th to take everyone back to The Market Street Hotel in Edinburgh.

What should I pack?

Answer

Packing for Scotland is tricky in that it rains quite a lot. So be prepared! It can also a bit chilly, so please pack warm clothes! As for wedding, women should pack a formal long dress, and men should wear a kilt or a formal suit.
