We're (Finally) Getting married

Welcome to our wedding website! A lot has changed over the last year, and while we know many of you can't join us to celebrate in person, we can't wait to celebrate our marriage with you in any way possible! We've created this website to keep you up to date on all things wedding before the festivities begin. You'll also find a bit more about our love story and the rituals that make this day so special. Thank you so much for all of your ongoing love and support as we reach this exciting time together!

Our story began back in January 2016, Shira had just returned from backpacking in Southeast Asia and Noam was released from his army service. We found ourselves working together at EIE an American high school in Israel program. Working together everyday in such an intense program, we saw each other's good, bad and ugly (and over tired!) Amidst all that, apparently the chemistry was clear to everyone but us. After months of different coworkers approaching Noam and Shira separately encouraging them to date, Noam took Shira out at the end of the semester and she even convinced him to stay and work another semester (you're welcome EIE!) and we've been together ever since! Fast forward a few years, after moving between cities, traveling the world and finally settling in together we were ready for the next big step. Shira, being the planner that she is (surprise said no one) was anxiously awaiting the moment she got to say yes to the easiest question in the world. Little did she know Noam had been trying to propose for a while, but busy schedules kept getting in the way! So late in the evening on November 6th 2019 Noam decided today was the day. Shira returned home from the gym to flowers and a beautiful home cooked meal and just and we got up to do the dishes she turned around and Noam was down on one knee! This past year tested everyone is different ways. We had originally planned to have everyone gather together in Israel last August, but as the months passed that vision was put on hold. While Noam finished his degree on Zoom and Shira found herself without work, we realized more than ever how lucky we are to have found one another and be supported by all of our loved ones. After such a year, we all need a good reason to celebrate and now here we are getting married!
