Zach and Amy had their first date at Starbuck's after meeting on OK Cupid. A coffee date was the perfect way to ensure that the other wasn't a serial killer. They talked and walked around the Domain in Austin for hours even though it was really cold!

They took their first trip together to Ft. Davis to see the stars from the McDonald Observatory. Little did they know, there was a full moon that weekend, and it was so bright that they could barely see anything else in the sky. On the way back to Austin, Zach noticed that there were clouds covering the moon, and decided to pull over on the side of the highway so they could get out and finally see the stars they'd driven so far to see. It was beautiful! They told each other they loved each other for the first time under those stars.

Zach and Amy went to Lake Buchanan for Zach's mom's family reunion, and they decided to duck out early to see the stars since it's so dark there. Zach pulled over to the side of a country road, and they got out to see the beautiful sky - there were even shooting stars! He knelt down on the ground and pulled a box out of his pocket that lit up when he opened it to show a beautiful ring, and asked Amy to marry him. She said, "OF COURSE!"

Zach and Amy were originally going to be married in late March, but their health and the safety of their friends and family took precedence. The venue closed, and the vendors lovingly rescheduled. They even tried for a second date in 2021 that came and went without much fanfare. But the future looks bright for 2022, and they can't wait to see you then!
