Mr. & Mrs.

After making the difficult decision to postpone their Florida wedding due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Richard and Alexia did not want to wait to legitimize their family. On September 19, 2020, the couple had a very small ceremony in Detroit, Michigan, where they pledged their love as one before their parents and siblings. The couple reserved many of the traditional wedding aspects--including the bridal party, cake-cutting, first dance, and reception--so they can share in the memories with YOU! Let's pray this pandemic passes so Richard and Alexia can celebrate their love with ALL of their friends and family in 2021!

How We Met

Sometimes What You're Looking for ... is Right at Your Doorstep

Richard met Alexia at his doorstep. Alexia was in Michigan visiting her parents for the Thanksgiving holiday and Richard lived next door to her parents. While bringing in groceries, Alexia realized her chatty son was engaging in a casual conversation with a man at the driveway entrance. Surprised by his handsome face and charming demeanor, she openly welcomed Richard's introduction. The two exchanged smiles and went their separate ways. How the rest of the story unfolds depends on who you ask. The gallant groom will tell you Alexia stalked him for days after they met in hopes of "accidentally" running into him. Quite the contrary, the blushing bride will advise you that Richard anxiously waited for her to come outside again, hoping to cross paths just once more. After the passing days, Richard resorted to leaving his business card on Alexia's car. (Stalker point: Richard - 1) The two immediately hit it off and realized their connection was deeper than either one had ever experienced. In fact, on their first date, Alexia told Richard that their souls were reunited and that he would be in her life for a very long time. (Stalker point: Alexia - 1) Richard did not know it on that first date, but very soon after, it was confirmed that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Alexia. And so, he proposed on April 7, 2019.

The Proposal

Perrysburg, OH

Richard planned a spontaneous birthday weekend for Alexia. To conclude the festivities, he romantically proposed at the Belamere Love Lock Sweetheart Bridge as the final celebration.
