In October 2022, Shiloh was taking her first step toward making friends at college through the CCU Newman Center, while Sal was looking forward to celebrating his 21st birthday that coming weekend. All evening they lingered on opposite sides of the room, orbiting one another without crossing paths—until a mutual friend (thanks, Gabrielle!) tugged Shiloh across the room and made a quick introduction. Moments later, they found themselves swing dancing together—practically strangers. Sal stepped on Shiloh’s feet more than once, but soon the two discovered their rhythm. Neither of them could have guessed that what began as a first dance between new friends would someday become their first dance as husband and wife.
Sal grew up in Staten Island, New York with his parents, sister, and brother. In 2019, he picked up his first camera and quickly discovered a passion that would shape so much of his life. Today, he works alongside his older brother at Eyecon Entertainment, capturing special moments as a videographer and storyteller. But more than anything, Sal’s heart is for people. He feels called to serve and walk with youth and young adults, helping them grow in faith and drawing the young Church closer to Jesus. On any given day you can find him playing video games, taking photos, or going for a drive with the windows down listening to music.
Shiloh grew up in Deer Park Washington with her parents and her brothers. She loves sitting curled up on the couch with a good book, and keeping the house at 68 degrees. Her love for a good story led her across the country to Coastal Carolina University where she studied Creative Writing. Now, she works at St. Andrew's Catholic School (which is barely two blocks from the ocean she loves so much!) and is enjoying every second on the East Coast.
