After moving to Southern Maine post college I took the first job I applied for - a social worker for the Westbrook School District. After a particularly long day at work I was stopped by a group of coworkers asking what I thought of "Mr. Crawford". I won't lie, I told them "He is cute, but I could NEVER date him because my step-family's last name is Crawford!". (Different Crawfords... we are not related... we checked) After our coworkers continued to hype Mike up, I decided to make the first move. One of the best decisions I have ever made. For everyone who has met Mike, I think you can understand how easy it was for me to fall in love with him. We clicked, and it was like every hardship we had ever gone through was worth it, and everything in life began to make sense. P.S Mike and I kept our relationship a secret from the students at the middle school, up until we ran into a student and their parent at the grocery store where we let it slip we were engaged! Imagine roughly 700 middle school students finding out two "teachers" are getting married; the drama!
