The soon-to-be bride and groom officially met in high school after joining the Emmett track and field team. The first day Zach showed up to track practice, Shiloah took a fancy to the cute redheaded, home-schooled boy after their paths had briefly crossed a couple times as young teens. After a few days and weeks of Shiloah doing everything she could to impress Zach, he finally warmed up to her and they started to develop a friendship as they spent part of track practices together participating in mutual events. With the help of Shiloah’s friends, they eventually exchanged phone numbers and kept in touch throughout the summer. At the start of the new school year, Zach enrolled in an elective engineering course at the high school and the two young friends made a habit of seeing each other every day during the short break between classes. As Homecoming approached, Shiloah wanted to go with Zach, but she was afraid he wouldn’t ask. Shiloah got a hold of Zach’s mom and they planned a fun way for Shiloah to ask Zach on their first date, Homecoming! Soon after that, the couple became nearly inseparable and have been since!
For their 6 year dating anniversary, Zach took his high school sweetheart, Shiloah, on an evening hike near Bogus Basin where he found the perfect spot overlooking the City of Boise, Idaho to give Shiloah her gift - a new Bible with the name “Shiloah Taylor” engraved on it, and a proposal to spend a life time with him!
