Petoskey State Park
We come here almost every time we are in Petoskey! The park has beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the bay. Alec loves to run up the sand dunes and we both love enjoying the beach! P.S. it's one of the best places to find Petoskey stones
Boyne Mountain Resort
There is so much to do here! It definitely has something for everyone, from the skybridge (perfect for checking out fall colors) to the waterpark, golfing and more! 50 Acres Tavern is one of our favorite places to get dinner and has a perfect view of the resort right outside!
The Back Lot Beer Garden
The Back Lot has tons of food trucks to pick from and good vibes all around. It is a great place to get dinner and drinks. It is located in downtown Petoskey and walking distance from all the shops in downtown. Definitely worth exploring downtown after dinner!
Bayfront Park
This is one of our favorite places to go in Petoskey. We love walking out on the pier and jumping off in the summer. If you are feeling daring, bring your swimsuit! You can jump off the pier into the water and climb back up with the ladders. P.S. jump off the left side of the pier. The water might be colder but is crystal clear as you are not jumping into the bay!
Mushroom House Tours
Go check out the mushroom houses in Charlevoix! they are so fun and definably worth a look. Self guided tours can also be found online for free and are a fun way to explore the city.
Fisherman's Island State Park
Great views of Lake Michigan and right down the street from downtown Charlevoix! Plenty of restaurants and shops to explore and even mushroom house tours nearby!
