We met while working on a cruise ship, assigned to different departments but often hanging out with the same group of friends after work. That’s how our paths crossed — colleagues turned friends, and friends turned lovers. Shiena saw me as the shy, quiet type, while I saw her as the cheerful and always-smiling one — complete opposites that somehow just fit. What started as casual talks soon grew into late-night conversations and unspoken longing to see each other. As the Bible says, “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen” (Isaiah 60:22) — and indeed, He did.
