In 2021, Shiela and Azeem were seeking freedom through Jesus. They both were enrolled in a Freedom Encounter class at Shiloh that met via zoom due to covid. On the last day of the class they met in person, and they both happened to arrive early before everyone else. As a result, their friendship began. Afterward, Azeem was curious about Shiela so he found her on Facebook messenger and their friendship grew. He then started to invite her to Eden, a songwriting small group. Over time, Shiela finally gave her number to Azeem after three months. In the late summer, Azeem, finished his album and Shiela proposed the idea of having an album release party. Through many hours, they worked together to produce their first kingdom event. Afterward, Azeem decided to share his feelings with Shiela in October 2021. They found out that their feelings were mutual and they began to talk on the phone every night. After several months of conversations, adventures, prayer, and even hardships, they became boyfriend and girlfriend on April 2nd, 2022. Since then, they have grown in their love for each other. From the start Azeem and Shiela already knew they wanted to get married on God's timing. When that time came they seeked mentorship from Shiloh's pre-engagement counseling, Brother Eric and Sister Lori King. With their help, Azeem and Shiela pursued the Lord's way of marriage and began the journey of what marriage takes. At the end, they decided this is something they wanted to pursue and continue for the rest of their lives. On July 15, Azeem proposed to Shiela during a paint and sip with all their loved ones present! From that point on God continues to write their love story.
