Jewel has been nothing but an amazing friend and shoulder to lean on. Immediately becoming friends with Sheyla as they joined Lifegroup together and laughing at absolutely everything. Jewel is always down to do something fun and cute. They send each other countless TikTok’s that make each other laugh so much. She always gives the sweetest replies and if Sheyla is looking for comfort or solidarity she goes to Jewel. They both love drinking a nice cold Diet Coke on a hot day and tanning.
Andre Brito

Andre has been a leader and a mentor to David since they’ve met. He upholds himself with so much honesty and integrity. Andre devout’s a lot of his time to serve God and that has inspired David to do the same. Andre is currently teaching david guitar. Andre and Megan (his wife) have also welcomed both David and Sheyla in their home until 3AM several times a week munching on Taco Bell.

Megan has been an amazing leader and confidant to Sheyla. She’s truly hilarious and brightens up Sheyla’s mood. Megan is always down to do whatever and is the most fun person to be around. She can truly make a joke out of anything that she’s made Sheyla use her inhaler SEVERAL times from the amount of times she’s almost made Sheyla die from laughter.

Sam was one of the first people David met at Evangel. David has always gravitated towards Sam because of his personality and their love for Marvel and Sports. Now Sam is one of the closest people in David’s life and funniest. XOXO

Melissa has been the David’s best friend since he was 11, and has continued to be the person that pours into David and Sheyla’s relationship spiritually and mentally. She has been a great role model and leader of what a humble servant of God looks like.
James Andrade

James is one of David’s longest and most loyal friend. Since freshman year of high school they were initially enemies turned into besties. They would go to the movies, mall, anywhere together, when nobody else was available. James would get a dog that David and Sheyla eventually stole. They are similar in a lot of ways and have grown together a lot.
Carly Kane

Carly is David’s sister, and David’s life would have never been the same without his sister. As soon as David came to the United States from Colombia, Carly could not put David down. She loves David immensely and that has poured onto Sheyla.

Elmer has been the most reliant friend David has had. Some would say he introduced David to the gym in high school. During Covid, Elmer and David would hang out until 2AM playing dragon ball Z , BA2K, and FIFA. Some say David and Elmer look alike but, David has considered him like an ugly younger brother.

Nury has grown up as a sister to Sheyla. Sometimes gang up against Stephany or Jennifer, and laugh at absolutely everything. She is Sheyla’s niece and they have grown up to love each other, fight with each other, talk about each other, just like sisters. They both loved eating food growing up and weren’t picky eaters.

Stephany has been like a younger sister to Sheyla. She is Sheyla’s niece. David and Sheyla have both watch her grown into an incredible woman of God from when she was a little girl. She can make anyone laugh instantly and continues to make David and Sheyla’s day brighter. David, Sheyla, and Stephany have a very close relationship which they value tremendously. She has not only sung Bad Romance by Lady Gaga to both Sheyla and David as an act of love, but she has also given Sheyla a box of Red Lobster Biscuits Flour for Christmas.
Pablo Alfaro

David considers pablo his number once tennis partner. David would say that their tennis partnership is “electric”. They are one mind on the court. Pablo spends so much money on Fortnite to be mid. They both like Star Wars and would obsessively play tennis every night for hours and hours.

Jennifer has been like a sister to Sheyla. Although Sheyla is her aunt, she is in fact 27 days older than Sheyla, this has been an ongoing fight for everything which as who goes first, who gets the front passenger seat, who would get soda first, etc. Growing up they would both fight over each other stuffs like our Nintendo games, wrestle each other until we bang our heads into the ground for $5 and a cookie, eat, play, do everything together. Jennifer has been nothing but a rock for Sheyla.

David didn’t like Santi when he first Santi but they got so close. Just this past year being able to lead the youth to El Salvador on a missions trip. They’re always ready to go on a trip to Rhode Island again even though we already went without him (on Santi’s birthday to celebrate Santi’s birthday) . They’ve gone camping and once had a bear outside their tent and some very strange noises that they will never forget.

Daniela is a like a little sister to Sheyla. They laugh and care for one another tremendously and family has always come first. Daniela and Sheyla both lived together in Connecticut and they would go skating or sledding A LOT.
