Caroline and Will overlapped two years at ECU, and while they had several close, mutual friends, they never met. Fast forward a decade, one of those mutual friends was getting married in Raleigh, NC, where Caroline and Will sat next to each other at the reception. That night sparked their interest in each other, but it was over a month until they saw each other again. Will was living in Virginia at the time and came home to visit his parents. While he was home, he met Caroline at a dinner she had planned with the couple whose wedding they met at. That dinner turned into three more dates over the next five days (strike while the irons hot, fellas!) Will left to go back to Virginia, but not without letting Caroline know that he wanted to "lock her up before he crossed state lines." Caroline and Will knew that starting the relationship with the challenge of being long-distance was not only a testament to their love for each other, but a reminder that they can conquer all the hard things life throws their way, as long as they have each other. Winter turned to summer, and their love grew stronger by the week. Then, on the hottest day of the year, Will proposed to Caroline in Atlantic Beach, NC. It was a momentous weekend full of celebration, emotions, and of course, back sweat. All documented by the professional photographer. The wedding planning began shortly thereafter, as they knew they wanted to enjoy life together immediately as a married couple. The next few months were FULL of adventures, including travels, personal and professional milestones, and of course, planning a wedding. Will and Caroline booked the St. Mary’s School chapel on Friday, November 14th, for their wedding. It was a small, intimate ceremony that captured and projected their love to all in attendance.
