We met in elementary school, 3rd grade to be specific. We weren't close friends at the time but we had similar friends so we were always around each other. Fast forward to middle school and we had English class together. We became closer friends, always talking with each other and he rode my bus sometimes. Then the teacher moved my seat right behind his. The crushes had already developed by this time. We would get home in the afternoon and spend all evening texting. We used to joke with each other and we would always ask "Who do you have a crush on?", neither one of us wanting to admit it. On November 18th, 2014 he was riding my bus and we sat together. The whole ride to my house he kept telling me there was something he wanted to ask me but he never did before we got off. We were texting again that evening and he finally asked me to be his girlfriend! We were just 12! Our first date was to the Onancock Theater to see Dracula. It was just an instant connection from the first time we hung out. We were best friends and falling in love more and more every day. A couple months quickly turned into a year and that quickly turned into 5! We knew this was going to be much more than just a middle or high school relationship. We went all through high school together side by side. We grew up together so much over the years. Everything we go through we go through together and we never give up on each other even if things get hard. He gave me a beautiful promise ring on our 5 year anniversary and I knew even more then that this was the man I was going to marry. Then of course 2020 came and we graduated together. I stayed on the shore and he went across the bay to ATI (with me constantly going to see him and vice versa). He met so many amazing people at school and it was truly all an experience! Then he came home from school and in 2023 we moved into our first place together. It has been so exciting to have our own home with our two fur babies. Now we are getting married on our 11 year anniversary at 23! I am so blessed to have found the love of my life so early on. I absolutely cannot wait to be Mrs. Anthony Hess and marry my best friend!

April 28th 2024 - We went to Ocean City for my birthday weekend like we usually do. Of course I had thought about us getting engaged but I DEFINITELY did not think he was going to do it when he did. We had just come out of Marty's Playland Arcade (one of our favorite things to do in OC). We usually always finish with skeeball before we leave. We decided to roll the last ball together like we have done many times before and we got a perfect 50. So then we go outside the arcade and we are standing by the benches admiring the beautiful sunset. He was behind me and I kept asking him for my phone so I could take a picture. I turned around after he wouldn't give me my phone to see him down on one knee. He said "Will you make me the happiest man alive and be mine forever?" (Even though he obviously knew I already was) Followed with "Will you marry me?" I was so shocked I did not even say anything at first. I had no idea he had even bought a ring or been planning any of this! It was the best moment of our lives!
