Did you know that there are a ton of apple orchards in and around Orange County, NY? Well, now you do! It only makes sense that one of the best hard ciders around comes from here in the Hudson Valley! Touring the orchard and enjoying some samples sounds like a perfect pre-wedding adventure.
Bear Mountain State Park
Are you sick of being indoors? Are you just yearning to breathe in that fresh Hudson Valley air? Bear Mountain State Park has just what you need with trails, boating, a small zoo, and more!
Bellvale Farms Creamery
Did you know the #2 ranked Ice Cream Parlor in the United States is right here in Orange County!? Growing up only 10 minutes away, Steph was sure to take Christian here plenty of times. The ice cream is made from the milk that comes from the farm at the bottom of the mountain, you can't get more local than that! Great ice cream, and even better views of the Warwick Valley.
The Castle Fun Center
Steph has had so many birthday parties here growing up, everyone lost count. Back then, it was only 2 mini golf courses, some batting cages, and a tiny go-cart track. Today, it seems like it has grown 10-fold! According to their website (since we haven't been there in quite a while) they now offer Ballocity, Roller Skating, Laser Maze, Swing Ride, Spin Zone, Bumper Cars, Zip Line, Axe Throwing, Rock Climbing, Laser Tag, Arcade, Go Karts, Mini Golf, Golf Driving Range & more...that's pretty impressive if you ask us!
Country Dream Restaurant
You would think that since we've lived in the Midwest and have moved down South we would have found a place with the best biscuits and gravy there, right? Nope. This place has the best biscuits and gravy we have ever had. Seriously, go eat them.

Although we may not recommend swimming this time of year, the fishing will still be fun! Maybe you'll be able to catch a bass for some late night fish sticks.

October was one of the only times a wedding would fit into our busy schedule (blame Christian's job) and apparently Halloween is in October. Go get scared.

Forgot to bring a gift and feel bad? Don't worry, this place has the best pies around and we will be just as happy with one of these. (The apple pie is to die for!)

West Hills Country Club
If we're getting married at a country club, of course we have to tell you about the golf course that they have. Who knows...maybe you'll find Christian searching for his ball in the woods or one of the sand traps while you're out there.
West Point
West Point is special to both of us for many reasons. Christian comes from a vast Military background with his extensive Army family (his dad was stationed here from 1995 to 1998!). Steph attended soccer camp here three summers in a row (the barracks were NOT comfortable accommodations) as well as had a prom here. Too bad their wedding areas weren't special enough for us to pick this for our dream wedding...oh well! Go see how beautiful the rest of the campus is and maybe attend a football game if they are home!
