The highlight of the museum complex is a landmark “Shrine to Anglers” which is one-half city block long and four and one-half stories tall, of concrete, steel and fiberglass, hand-sculpted into the likeness of a leaping fish (a muskellunge). Its gaping, open jaw accommodates about 20 persons and reveals a wonderful panoramic view of Lake Hayward, the city of Hayward and, of course, our grounds. The “Big Musky” sits atop an 88,000 gallon pond.
A "Wildlife Museum" of taxidermy astonishes and amuses at this classic Hayward dive bar, which also sports a jukebox and pool table.
