Once you book your room at the hotel, they will ask for your time of arrival, so that they can arrange a pick up service. Once you check in, ask the hotel front desk to have a drop off service ready for when you check out to take you to the airport. Note: Hotel pick up service is only available if you are flying into El Nido airport.
We recommend booking your flight to Manila and to El Nido at least 7-8 months before (around August/September 2026).
We recommend staying at Seda Lio Resort, where the ceremony and reception will be held to avoid setting up transportation. We have a room block at Seda Lio Resort for your convenience. However, there are budget-friendly options nearby. Please find more info under "Travel."
The theme for the Night Before Party is "Something Blue Before I Do." Please wear something blue. Any shade of blue is welcome (light or dark blue, sky or baby blue, deep, or electric blue, etc.)
For the ceremony, the dress code is beach formal. Please refrain from wearing flip flops, as well as the colours: white, champagne, beige, and brown. For men: You may wear a collared shirt, long or short sleeve, with or without a tie. Beige barong is okay. For ladies: You may wear a midi or floor length dress. You may also want to wear flat sandals or block heels as the ceremony and reception will be on sand.
Both the ceremony and the reception will take place on the beach.
We kindly ask that you arrive to the ceremony by 3:30pm. This will allow ample time to find your seat and get settled before the proceedings begin at 4:00pm. Please reference our events page for more timing details.
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift. Should you wish to honour us with a gift, a small monetary contribution would be greatly appreciated as we save for a new home and grow our family.
Cars are not necessary. There are two options to get around: one is to ask the resort for drop off and pick up service, and the other is to take the Tuk Tuks around.
Yes. Most places like restaurants accept credit cards, however, cash is needed when taking rides or transfers. Cash is used for tipping as well.
Tipping is not an expectation in the Philippines, but considered kind. Giving about 100 pesos ($2.50cad) is more than enough, and would make the locals very happy.
ABSOLUTELY NOT! Please only drink bottled water in the Philippines. If there's ice in the drink or food, ask if the ice is made from filtered water first before drinking. Refrain from swallowing water when bathing, showering, swimming in pools, or using hot tubs.
