I worked at Savannah Fire for about 7 years, and the most fun I had through out those years were working at Engine 4 with Zac. He quickly became much more than a coworker, and more like a brother. No matter what, if he was pumping the truck, in the fire with me, or just hanging out outside work, I have always been able to count on him.

Rocky is my first best friend since moving to Georgia back when we were 15 years old. She was my bad influence in the best possible way. She took me out of my comfort zone, made high school fun, and made Richmond Hill worth the stay. All of this is still true to this day! Rocky has always been my biggest cheerleader, and made me feel like I could do anything. She brings so much light, calmness, chaos, and adventure into my life.

James (Shorty) is a big reason that I am the firefighter I am today. His leadership, as well as his friendship, has continued long after my time at Savannah Fire came to an end. Among others that I strive to make proud, Shorty is definitely high on that list, and part of the reason I hold myself to the standard I continue to hold to this day. By far, the best Captain at Savannah Fire.

I knew Stormy when she was in middle school. She's been there for major moments in my life both local, out of state, and abroad! From college graduations, to pandemic breakups.. She's the best travel partner and host. Stormy is warm and has introduced me to so many new experiences and amazing people. She blesses my life with so much positivity and unconditional love. She'll always be there to run away with.

The things I could say about Luke are endless, and some things are not for public ears. This guy has always been there for me since I first met him during. my rookie school at Savannah Fire. He was there, beside me in just about every advanced tech rescue class I did at Savannah. Luke almost made me die during our Dive Class, but I still love him all the same. His friendship is something I will always be thankful for.

We have been friends since Taylor and my sister were in the same middle school class. Taylor is the friend that keeps me grounded. She has been there to support me during some of the lowest moments of my life and helped me find my way again. She's someone I trust to tell me the tough truth because I know it's from a place of love. Taylor has been there when I needed her, and I will always be there for her.

I didn't meet Hakeem until after Sherrae and I started dating, but he has always welcomed me into the family. I am proud of him for his service to the Air Force, and I am honored that he is going to be a part of our big day. Not only for Sherrae, but for me as well.

We kept our friendship a secret from coworkers for months while working at Abercrombie. Eight years later, Destini is still one of my best friends. I can't help but be happy around her. The unconditional kindness I've been showered with from this friendship goes unmatched! She's always in my corner, and shows me so much love. She is the most kind hearted human being I have in my life.

My adorable nephew Khi is the ring bearer with so much style and even more attitude. Mekhi is highly intelligent, loves maps, flags and taught himself how to read by the age of two. Don’t let that cute face fool you. He keeps us on our toes and has really taught us about the importance of patience. He’s the sweetest menace you’ll ever meet.

Cienna is my first and only niece. She is the coolest person I’ve ever met, and the perfect mixture of all my favorite people. Cici is so unique in every way, with great taste in music and her sense of fashion. I never thought I’d see so much of myself in someone I didn’t give birth to.
