Please RSVP for the wedding by September 15th. For the snorkeling trip please RSVP by December 1st.
We’ll be in Phuket from 22–28 December and in Bangkok from 28–30 December. If you’d like to join us for sightseeing, beach days, food spots, or exploring around together, we’d absolutely love that.
Technically it’s “winter” in Thailand… but more like a warm spring/summer vibe. Expect sunny beach weather around 75–90°F (24–32°C) most days.
The wedding will take place outdoors by the sea, so we recommend dressing comfortably for warm tropical weather.
It takes around 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic.
Cape Panwa is the quieter side of Phuket. It’s more private, calm beaches, and a relaxed resort vibe compared to the busy town areas. It feels like a little hidden escape on a peninsula. But we definitely recommend going into Phuket Old Town too, especially the Sunday Night Market for food, culture, and a more lively local vibe. It’s the best of both worlds, a chill beach stay and fun exploring in town.
If you have a US passport, you don’t need a visa for tourism. You can stay in Thailand for up to 60 days, and it can usually be extended another 30 days (around 90 days total) at immigration if needed. Just make sure your passport is valid and have a return ticket ready. Also, everyone must fill out the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before arriving. It’s completely free and must be done only on the official website: https://tdac.immigration.go.th. Please be careful of fake sites that try to charge money for it You should never pay anything for TDAC.
Phuket is generally safe for tourists and very family-friendly, especially in resort areas and beaches.
Yes, especially in tourist areas, hotels, and restaurants. Communication is generally easy.
Tipping is not required, but it’s appreciated for good service in restaurants, tours, and hotels.
It’s generally not recommended to drink tap water anywhere in Thailand. For safety, it’s best to stick to bottled or filtered water, which is widely available and very affordable throughout the country.
For the first 3 hours, drinks will be unlimited including beer, wine, and soft drinks. After that, beer and wine will still be available in a limited selection as the celebration continues into the night.
