How do you measure love? One may say, the amount of materials in your possession, the number of people in your circle, or the love and support from a single individual. There is no true definition on how to measure love. Love is defined by the eyes of the beholder and what love means to me may not fit another. What matters is whether or not you have love in your life. To me, it is measured by the love and support I receive from my family and friends, but most importantly, from the man who not only saw me at my worst, but lifted me to be my best. This man not only was a light at the end of the tunnel, he was a shoulder for me to cry. He guided me through the rocky path and waited for me on the other side. Always cheering, always pushing me to keep going. This man has loved and supported me more than I could have ever imagined and I know he will stand by my side to the very end. This man is Tyler. Tyler was not expecting to meet an individual who not only was a mother to a young daughter, but a person who carried a lot of weight on her shoulders. Though I was strong, I didn’t realize how much help I really needed. With every turn and fork in the road, Tyler was there for me. As time went on, our relationship strengthened and before I knew it, we couldn’t be without each other. We realized we shared many of the same interests. A calling to explore the outdoors, a passion for animals that created a bond like no other, and the mutual love for a little girl who brought joy and laughter to our hearts every day. Each and every adventure grew our relationship to what it is today. Now this may not be your typical love story, but our story is unique. One that we will continue to share with our family and friends. We will continue to grow to the best of our abilities, knowing we’ve already gone through lows that ushered great triumphs. Tyler is not only my best friend and my adventure buddy, he is the person I know I will spend the rest of my life with. The man I cannot wait to create beautiful memories with.
