Question

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be at the same venue: Horsehead Lake Lodge 213 County Road 3190 Clarksville, AR 72830

Question

What time is the ceremony? What time is the reception?

Answer

The ceremony will be at 3PM on February 5th, 2025. Feel free to arrive as early as you'd like. We will have the WHOLE venue to ourselves from 12PM 2/4/25 - 10AM 2/7/25! The reception will follow the ceremony around 3:30PM or so.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than January 5th, 2025 (the earlier the better).

Question

Will the wedding be inside or outside?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside (weather permitting) and we will move inside for the reception!

Question

What weather should I expect?

Answer

Of course we can’t guarantee anything, but the average high for February is 52°F to 60°F and the average low is 32°F to 39°F. It's not likely to be rainy or windy, but it is possible it might snow if it is cold enough. Keep an eye on the weather for Clarksville, AR in the weeks leading up to the wedding and plan accordingly!

Question

What should I expect after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party and the immediate family of the couple will be taking pictures for around an hour. Guests can head over to the reception hall (near the ceremony hall) where there will be snacks and drinks. Dinner will be served around 5PM, with dancing to follow.

Question

What is the dress code? What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-casual is fine! We don't want you to stress too much over the dress code. Keep in mind the weather may be on the cooler side, and it would also be a good idea to wear comfortable shoes since the venue is located in the woods with dirt paths in some areas. The bridal party will be wearing royal blue and royal purple, so it would be best to avoid those colors!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We will have a selection of cocktails, wine, and beer available during the cocktail hour and reception. BYOB is also allowed (and encouraged).

Question

Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue?

Answer

We are not providing any formal transportation for the events since our ceremony and reception are taking place in the same area. There is ample parking for those who will drive there, and we can work out individual transportation for those who may be unable to drive from the airport.

Question

What is the easiest way to get to and from Clarksville?

Answer

The cheapest flights will likely be the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport (LIT), which is 2 hours away from the wedding venue. The closest airport to the venue is Fort Smith Regional Airport (FSM) which is 1 hour away. If you require help with transportation to and from the airport, reach out to us and we might be able to figure it out!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Plus ones or partners are allowed as long as you include all attendees on your RSVP!

Question

What about children? Pets?

Answer

We are all one big family, whether by blood, marriage, or otherwise. The venue and cabins are all pet-friendly and you are welcome to bring both your real babies and fur babies (as long as they are friendly towards strangers)!

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, feel free to share with the tag #Colby2025 or tag one of us on Facebook. However, our photographer reserves the right to ask you not to interfere with her shots.

Question

If I can't make it, will there be a way for me to watch?

Answer

We do plan to live stream the wedding ceremony on www.twitch.tv/Amil_Lock No account is required to watch.

For all the days along the way
