Our journey began in late August on a very sophisticated phone dating application called Bumble. We both swiped right, Laura sent the first message which quickly led to exchanging phone numbers and a first date within the first month. We met at Paladar Latin Kitchen in King of Prussia where we closed down the restaurant after 3 hours of chatting :)

We started talking about our “forever” on our 1 year anniversary at Hotel LBI in September of 2025. On the drive there Laura told a special story that most people know, but Dave hadn’t heard yet. She shared that ever since she was a little girl driving onto LBI for her annual family beach vacation that she would gaze out the window and point to Bonnet Island (our venue) and say ‘I’m going to get married there one day, Mommy”. She had been dreaming since she was a little girl about getting married there, and was finally able to share LBI and point out Bonnet Island to Dave on their 1 year anniversary weekend. Dave teared up and said “I can’t wait to make all of your dreams come true.” :) Fast forward to October and rings were being customized and shopped for, in November Dave asked Laura’s parents Tom & Bev for permission for Laura’s hand and December 2025 is when the question was popped. Laura’s Dad planned a last minute week-long New Years trip to LBI and on a blustery 16 degree New Year’s Eve morning beach walk Dave dropped to his knee and asked for Laura’s hand in marriage with her parents and best friend Lindsay there to see it :)
