Do we have to wear colors on the wedding color palette?

Answer

Family members should stick to the color palette. We’re going with navy blue & terracotta color palette which includes deep navy, classic navy, terracotta, soft coral terracotta and a warm beige. For all other guest it's optional if you’d like to coordinate, feel free to join in on the palette fun. If not, no worries at all—we’ll love you (and your outfit) just the same. Think of it as dress code: optional color vibes. 🎨✨

Are kids invited?

Answer

Due to the nature of our weekday wedding in Yosemite—with lots of moving around and a full itinerary—we’ve decided to keep our celebration adults-only. We prefer the kids stay at home (especially those in school) because we truly want all of our guests (especially parents!) to be able to relax and enjoy this special time with us, without worrying about logistics with the kids while in Yosemite.

What's the weather going to be like during the ceremony?

Yosemite Valley in October is absolutely stunning—cool, crisp mornings, golden fall foliage, and soft sunlight pouring over granite cliffs. If you're joining us for a 9:45 AM ceremony, here's what to expect weather-wise (per ChatGPT, lol): Cool Morning Temperatures: Around 40–50°F (4–10°C) at that hour. It will feel chilly, especially in the shade or near water, but the sun starts warming things up by late morning. Dress in Layers: We recommend dressing warmly, especially for the ceremony. Bring a coat, shawl, or tailored jacket that looks great in photos but keeps you comfortable outdoors. Footwear: Yosemite paths can be a bit uneven, so closed-toe or flat shoes are ideal—stylish but practical. Sunlight: The morning light in the Valley is gorgeous—soft and golden, perfect for photos. You might want sunglasses if you're sensitive to glare. Scenery: Expect fall colors, fresh mountain air, and a quiet, peaceful setting—October mornings are some of Yosemite’s best-kept secrets.
