We're Getting Married!

We met about 6 months prior to February 3rd, 2020, but February 3rd is when we finally exchanged contact information :)! The two of us hit it off at one of our mutual friend's going-away party, but Carson was seeing someone at the time so he gave me the Irish goodbye. I called my Mom on my bike ride home that evening and let her know that if I ever met someone like him again, I knew I had met my person. After nearly 6 months, the two of us ran into each other as Carson was leaving the office and I was running home from a Pilates class. "Carson? Is that you?" I called out. He looked up, and it took a moment for recognition to dawn on his face. He replied, clearly struggling to place who I was, but kept the conversation going until he was able to figure it out. As we caught up on the last 6 months that had passed, we could both still feel the connection that we had shared when we first met. The time apart hadn't diminished that spark, even if Carson had needed a moment to remember exactly who I was. We finally exchanged phone numbers that night! Shortly after we started dating, the pandemic started. Our relationship went from zero to a hundred really quick. We had gone on a few dates, and then were living together. With lockdowns and stay-at-home orders in place, we spent nearly every waking hour together. It was challenging at times, but we learned so much about each other and grew incredibly close. We supported each other through the uncertainty and stress of those early pandemic days. Cooking meals together, binge-watching shows, going on runs, a 5 minute plank a day, virtual yoga classes from my living room or the studio, and joining my family's zoom happy hours became the rhythm of our days. As time went on, our bond only deepened. The pandemic was just a way of accelerating big life decisions. We both knew from the start that we wanted a future together, a home, and a dog! What we hadn't decided on from the start was choosing to live closer to nature and outdoor adventures. We decided to move to Snoqualmie, Washington in April of 2022. It took time for the area to grow on Sherah, but we have built such an amazing community together here, because of our dog Sophie, and all of her amazing friends! We are so excited to celebrate with those that are able to join us, and appreciate the impact all of you have had on our relationship.
