Where are the Ceremony and Reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception will be held at The Scottish Rite Consistory (519 Park St, Des Moines, IA 50309)

What should I wear? Is there a Dress Code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/formal attire. Think cocktail dresses or a suit and tie or a sports coat.

Can I bring A Plus One/Kids?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

When do I need to submit my RSVP?

Answer

We kindly ask you to submit your RSVP by October 12th so we can provide the final headcount to our vendors. Click on the RSVP tab to submit.

Where should I park?

Answer

Guest parking is recommended at 5th & Keo Parking Garage (555 5th Ave, Des Moines). From the garage, guests may use the downtown Des Moines Skywalk System by following signs toward the Hilton Des Moines Downtown. Exit to street level near the hotel and continue a short walk to Scottish Rite Consistory. Additional parking is available at the Center Street Park & Ride Garage (830 6th Ave, Des Moines) if needed.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes before the official ceremony start time so you can get settled before the proceedings.

Is there a shuttle from the airport?

Answer

Yes! Our host hotel offers a free shuttle from DSM between 5:00 AM and Midnight. Just call (515) 645-4001 (ext. 0) after you grab your bags.

Question

Can I use the shuttle to get to the wedding or around town?

Answer

The shuttle can do local drop-offs within 2 miles of the hotel if the schedule allows, but please keep in mind that airport transfers are the driver's priority.
