After a stressful wedding cake delivery at the Cleveland Museum of Art, Kelsey drove to her parents house with the intention of taking a hot bath and enjoying some deep couch sitting. An hour or so into the couch, a friend of Kelsey’s she hadn’t seen in awhile reached out to see if she wanted to grab a drink with her and some gym friends. Kelsey and her friend had both been to Paris recently, so they decided it would be a great time to talk about each of their trips and catch up. Kelsey peeled herself off the couch and was extra excited at the prospect of a few drinks after a long and rough day. She got dolled up (ok fine, maybe her friend told her there might be single men there), and set off for the Flats. Meanwhile.... Nick was waking up to his normal Saturday routine; make a pot of coffee, have some breakfast, and go get groceries at the West Side Market. What was unusual about this Saturday, is that this all happened much earlier than the typical 10:30AM. So feeling motivated, Nick decided to get in a workout. Afterwards, Nick and some friends from the gym decided to go grab some brunch. This quickly turned into bar, brewery, and festival hopping from Saucy Brews Oktoberfest to the East Bank of the flats for a bacon festival. After discovering the bacon festival ran out of bacon (bit of a buzzkill), the group settled into Beerhead for some pizza and giant pretzels. This is where Kelsey came into the picture. As soon as she walked up to the table Nick couldn’t take his eyes off of her, and was waiting for the first opportunity to talk to her. After waiting for a lull in conversation, Nick heard Kelsey saying something about a Squirrel, and decided that he couldn’t wait any longer. He walked across the table and asked, “are y’all talking about squirrels?” After about 10 minutes of talking, Kelsey decided Nick seemed like pretty great guy under that beard :) A year and some change later, Nick took Kelsey off the market and can't wait to make her a Shepard.
