After I graduated from Ryle High School, my parents left town for a weekend trip. I decided it was only fitting to throw an end-of-high school celebration & birthday party for my now bridesmaid Madeline. (I was a little crazier in my high school days) Through mutual friends, Jon discovered I was having a party & slid into my twitter DM's. We soon discovered we had lived down the street from each other since grade school & had been in some of the same classes together! Jon & I were in school together almost our entire lives, & only exchanged one short conversation together (at least Jon claims I spoke to him but I don't even remember... whoops). We hit it off during the party & before Jon ran home he begged me for a goodnight kiss, to which I refused to give him. The next morning I woke up to find a letter from him in the mailbox & shortly after he asked me to go on an official date with him. Although we were young & naive (& still are) there was something about the boy next door that I never knew I needed. (cheesy, I know). I believe our story is a true testament to God's timing & even though we both got into trouble for the bad decisions we made that night, I got the love of my life out of it.
