How soon should I book my room

Answer

We recommend you book your room as soon as you receive your Save The date invite to guarantee you have a room for the wedding. The general public will continue to book rooms and if they run out of rooms you will not be able to book. We want to make sure all of our guests are able to have a room to attend our wedding.

When should I fill out the RSVP?

Answer

As soon as you book your room at the Excellence Resort, we ask that you go to the RSVP tab and let us know you if you will be attending. If you do not plan to attend, we also ask that you go to the RSVP tab and decline your invite.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The wedding attire will be semi-formal. We are planning a toes in the sand beach wedding (weather permitting). The ceremony will take place on the beach, so keep that in mind when picking your footwear. You may also want a pair of sunglasses for the ceremony.

How do I get from the airport to the resort and back to the airport in Mexico?

Answer

When you book your room using the promo-code your transportation is included with your room price. When you get your confirmation email, there will be a link to the transportation company. After your book your flights, use that link to book your transportation from the airport to the resort. You will also book your ride from the resort back to the airport. We have also provided that link on this website for you.

Do I need to bring any extra money with?

Answer

The Excellence Resort is an all-inclusive resort. The price includes all your food and beverages and your transportation to and from the airport to the resort. You will want to bring money for tipping.

Unfortunately we are unable to make it to the wedding in Mexico, but would like to send a gift. Where should we send it?

Answer

Are there dress codes for dinner?

Answer

YES! Please check the website when picking out your restaurants for dinner. Also check the dress code policy for each restaurant you wish to eat at. Please pack accordingly.

Do we need reservations for restaurants on the resort?

Answer

Many of the restaurants do require a reservation. Please check The Excellence Resort website to see which ones do. It may be a good idea to book before traveling or when you are checking in.

Can I smoke at the Resort?

Answer

Mexico just implemented a no smoking law that is now in effect. You cannot smoke in any public areas. This includes the pool areas and the beach area. Smoking is restricted to designated smoking areas only. Please contact the resort for direction on where smoking is permitted.

I heard of a scam in regards to the transportation at the airport.

Answer

It was on the news here in the US that when you are looking for your driver at the airport, someone may approach you and state that your ride was cancelled and they were sent to pick you up. This is a scam. We suggest you keep a copy of the transportation contact information on you or on your phone so if you are concerned you can give them a call for confirmation. Your rides should not be cancelled.

Is there nightly entertainment?

Answer

Yes! There is nightly entertainment. Unfortunately we do not have that schedule. Their nightly entertainment changes by the week. When you check in you should receive the schedule of events for your stay. We have seen a copy of one of the weekly schedules. I promise you will not be disappointed. There are morning, afternoon and evening activities to include exercise, games, activities and entertainment. You can also download their app for your trip. It is called The Excellence Collection. There is a lot of information on there and includes a map of the property.
