He stole my heart so, I’m stealing his last name!

It was a blind date. 14 years ago we were set up by a great friend Latesha Edwards. She insisted that she had someone that she wanted me to meet. Even though I was skeptical of blind dates I gave it a chance. The first night we spoke on the phone, we spoke for hours. That’s when I knew that there was something there. We really had a connection. It was something about each other that made us want to pursue each other and have been inseparable ever since. Two kids and 14 years later we are still going strong and we plan on to continue our love for years to come.

On the morning of March 1, 2014 I went into the bathroom and there on the counter was an open ring box with the ring in it. There was no words needed. This told me he knew me very well. He knew exactly where I would be headed. And on that day that’s when I said yes. The most amazing feeling in the world. That was the beginning of our happily ever after.
