Swallow Falls State Park

Great little spot to check out the waterfall. About a 1 mile hike around and a fairly easy trail for all ages. They sometimes have an ice cream truck but that's cash only. There is a fee to enter, check their website for updated prices (but usually only a few dollars).
Deep Creek Lake State Park

This is the only public beach spot along the lake: pay to enter, you may bring coolers but drinking is not encouraged, I would pack an insulated cup ahead of time or be super discrete.
