We started our afternoon at Bodega Head beach in Bodega Bay. Chatted and joked for hours before heading to a brewery we had never been to in Sebastopol, which turned out to be one of our favorite spots of all time. Next we headed to sushi (a favorite of both of ours) and then drinks in Santa Rosa before walking through the Wednesday Night Market. Summer love turned into a lifetime kind of love!
As told by Chelsea: We decided to spend our long Labor Day weekend (also, my birthday weekend) camping at Patrick's Point up on the north coast. This is a place Shealon's family has been camping at for years and years, so it was a place she was very excited to show me. Long walks through the forest and to the beach made for a very relaxing trip. Shealon's favorite place on earth is a state park a bit up north from Patrick's Point, so we decided to go for the day. We got up early on Saturday morning and started our trek. We arrived to Fern Canyon, and began our quiet, romantic walk through the canyon. There were ferns running from the floor all the way up the walls of the canyon, with a stream running along the rocks through the middle. After walking for about 45 minutes into the canyon, we decided to take a break near a tree and mini grove of clovers. I jokingly mentioned to Shealon "We should find a four leaved one! That would be great luck!". Shealon turned and began to search frantically. I called to her and when she turned around, I was on one knee. Instant tears! And of course, she said yes!
