FAQs

The Wedding Website of Shelly Massre and Daniel Ben-Avner
Question

What time does the ceremony start & where is the Wedding?

Answer

5:30pm at Barr Mansion! 10463 Sprinkle Rd, Austin, TX 78754

Question

What time should I get to the venue?

Answer

Since our ceremony starts at 5:30pm sharp, you can come as early as 5:00pm.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is garden formal! Ladies, please feel free to wear a midi or maxi dress of any color. Bonus points if it has flowers! For obvious reasons, please avoid any whites or creams. A quick note on footwear: Parts of the venue include rocky gravel, and weather permitting, our reception will be held outdoors on the grass. We recommend choosing shoes you’ll feel comfortable walking and dancing in. Heels are perfectly fine, though block heels, wedges, or sturdy stilettos may be most comfortable. Don't worry, the reception space is indoors on concrete. Men, a suit you feel the most comfortable in is the best choice!

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking. If you are planning on grabbing a drink with the bride and groom throughout the day, please use the Uber or Lyft apps.

Question

What will the temperature be that weekend? Will I need a coat?

Answer

Like Miami, the weather in March is a little unpredictable. We are hoping for Mid 60s to Mid 70s, Sunny, with a light breeze. Last March it was a little colder, in the low 60s. Check the weather when you're getting ready to pack!

Question

When and how should I RSVP?

Answer

The second tab on this website has an RSVP page where you will be able to RSVP for yourself and/or your family. If you have any trouble, please reach out to Daniel or Shelly. You will need to RSVP by 2/15/26!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Your invitation only extends to the adults on the envelope!

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

Our reception dinner will be a Kosher meal, but Glatt friends please note that the kitchen will not be koshered. If you have any other dietary restrictions such as gluten free, vegetarian, etc. then please let Daniel or Shelly know in advance.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We love how excited you are to take pictures of the special day, but please keep in mind that Daniel and Shelly hired an incredibly talented photographer. During the ceremony, please refrain from being on your phones and let the amazing photographer work her magic. Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like throughout the cocktail hour and reception!
