Question

Why Oklahoma?

Answer

It's Tyler's hometown and Laura really loves it. Oh, and if you haven't heard the news... they're moving there in February. They are excited to show everyone their new home! Their new address is: 2021 NW 19th Street Oklahoma City, OK 73106

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Of course! But if you want the night off, that's cool too! If you plan to bring them along just include that info in your RSVP. Just a heads up that there is a pool at the ceremony site and the reception is on a rooftop. Putting your kids on a leash is totally acceptable.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There's Uber and a trolly that goes through downtown. A rental car is not necessary but maybe chat with other wedding goers and share an Uber XL.

Question

I have a food allergy/dietary restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please say something! There will be food trucks at the reception with a veggie option but please send Laura and Tyler a note/text/email with other dietary concerns.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The ceremony is in Tyler's brother and sister-in-laws backyard so you can park anywhere in their neighborhood. The reception is downtown in an area called Automobile Alley. Parking is open in that area after 5pm so just plug in the address and find a spot.

Question

Are there any special notes on attire?

Answer

It's a wedding so dress like you are going to a wedding. The ceremony is in the grass and the reception is on a rooftop so maybe skip the stilettos and go for flats, wedges, or a thick heal (so in right now).

Question

Should we be worried about tornadoes?

Answer

Probably not. Tornadoes occur all year round but tornado season is March to mid June. It's highly doubtful there will be one while you're visting but just so you know: OKC's outdoor warning sirens sound in and near areas where the National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning. If you hear a siren, immediately take shelter and get more information about the storm. PLEASE NOTE: OKC tests its sirens at noon on Saturdays unless there's a threat of inclement weather. So you will defnitely hear an alarm on Saturday at noon throughout the entire city. Be cool.
