Multnomah Falls
A waterfall as magnificent and memorable as any in the country is located just a 30- minute drive outside of Portland. Visiting Multnomah Falls, a 611-foot-tall roaring, awe-inspiring cascade of icy water, lets you experience the power and beauty of nature up close and with ease. From the parking area off of I-84, a 5-minute walk is all that separates you from the exhilarating spray at the base of the falls. According to Native American lore, Multnomah Falls was created to win the heart of a young princess who wanted a hidden place to bathe. Although you can see the top portion of the falls from the highway, to view both tiers you have to walk to the viewing area located in a carved-out opening in the rock face. Tilting your head up in the narrow rocky confines of the steep cliffs, you get a mind-boggling perspective on the sheer magnitude of the falls.
Downtown Hood River
Downtown Hood River is not to be missed. This is one of our favorite spots to visit and walk around. There is even a vegan cafe in town!
The Gorge White House
This is one of the best orchards in Multnomah Valley. The bride and groom love to visit this orchard and enjoy their cider flights! Situated on 30+ acres of orchard in the heart of the Hood River Valley, The Gorge White House is an oasis that offers something for everyone! A casual atmosphere that doesn't require a reservation or dress code, The Gorge White House is proud to provide artisanal farm fresh food from the Food Cart, award winning Hard Ciders & Wines and to top off your visit, enjoy your afternoon in the beautifully maintained fields of U-Pick Fruits and Flowers with photo opportunities at every turn.
Bridge of the Gods
The Bridge of the Gods is a toll bridge spanning the Columbia River to connect SR-14 in Washington to I-84 in Oregon. The bridge is owned and operated by the Port of Cascade Locks in the city of Cascade Locks, Oregon. It is open 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, unless otherwise noted for maintenance, construction, or temporary event closures. Bridge tolls and limits are listed below. Please note that the bridge does accept most major credit cards, though additional fees do apply. The bridge is open to pedestrian and bicycle traffic as well, therefore vehicles should be alert and yield to non-motorized traffic.
