Stuff To Do

For out-of-towners, we recommend ditching the car - parking can be hard to come by, and Boston is easily navigable by public transportation. We also recommend downloading Lyft or Uber for late nights out. Here are some of our favorite places in town, on both sides of the river. We hope you have a great visit to Boston!

Christopher's

1920 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140
, (617) 876-9180

This is our favorite local pub (and where Brenna signed our marriage license) - get the nachos and buffalo cauliflower!

Bow Market

1 Bow Market Way, Somerville, MA 02143

If you're staying in Camberville, check out Bow Market in Union Square - lots of little shops and restaurants from local makers and chefs, plus a brewery (Remnant) and wine bar (Rebel Rebel).

Newtowne Grille

1945 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140
, (617) 661-0706

Do you want to get a glimpse of old-school Cambridge? Do you like pizza and a pitcher of beer for $20? Eric and I like all of the above, and often head over to Newtowne when we don't feel like cooking.

Harvard Art Museums

32 Quincy Street, Cambridge, MA 02138
, (617) 495-9400

This a great collection in a recently-renovated space! Definitely worth checking out if you're staying in Camberville - then head over to Milk Bar for crack pie or up Mass Ave to Christopher's for beer and nachos.

The Institute of Contemporary Art

25 Harbor Shore Drive, Boston, MA 02210
, (617) 478-3100

We head to the ICA several times a year. Also a fun place to grab a coffee and grab some harbor views.

Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University

125 Arborway, Boston, MA 02130
, (617) 524-1718

This is a beautiful spot with lots of walking trails. Easily accessible by T - just take the Orange Line to Forest Hills.

Turtle Swamp Brewing

3377 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02130
, (617) 522-0038

Stop here for a drink after spending a day wandering around the Arboretum and Forest Park - there's a big outdoor patio, food trucks, and good beer!

Franklin Park

1 Franklin Park Road, Boston, MA 02121
, (617) 635-4505

Eric used to live around the block from Forest Park. There's lots to explore here, including the ruins of the former Franklin Park Zoo!

For all the days along the way
