It all began with fate …and a mutual swipe on a dating app. Back in 2019, Sheldon and Chelsea had their first date. They went to the music store, ate some burgers, listened to rock music, and then finished it off at the arcade. Truly a sample of the years to come. Beyond the slight awkwardness of meeting a stranger from a dating app, there was an undeniable spark. The first date turned into the second, then several more. Until the night when they went to a small concert in downtown Tampa. That night, they upgraded to the Boyfriend/Girlfriend title; it was official. Heck yeah! After a little over a year, Sheldon’s journey through Medical school threatened to put them in different places, as Sheldon was going to be forced to move to train in a hospital somewhere in the state, but they refused to let that happen. Ocala ended up being the destination, so an apartment in Ocala would be their first home together. Their apartment was not great, and neither was Ocala, but living together was meant to be. Then came their second apartment in Orlando, which was wonderful. Then their third destination: Tallahassee, where Sheldon would complete his residency. The cities didn’t always feel like home, but their love made it home. These years were full of so much love, growing together, and sharing experiences. Experiences like Skiing in multiple states, epic road trips, and some theme parks. In all this fun and chaos, throughout medical school, Art school, and a medical residency, their love and connection grew ever-stronger. However, there was still one destination that was to be the most important. In April 2025, they went on a cruise. On the very last day, on the top deck overlooking the open ocean as the sun sank low in the sky with a beautiful orange glow, Sheldon knelt down and proposed. After 6 years, the important question was finally asked. Drum roll please!….. Just kidding Obviously, the answer was yes. It was the easiest yes ever. It was easy because their love comes so easily, their laughs come so plentifully, and home is anywhere when they are together. Now, another exciting commitment comes before the wedding: they are buying a house! Goodbye, years of apartment life. Hello, home life! They are so excited to start this new chapter, and then another chapter soon after, getting married! They cannot wait to celebrate their love with all of their family, friends, and loved ones!
