In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we want everyone to know that the health and safety of our guests is our number one priority. The wedding ceremony and reception will be conducted with current Pennsylvania state guidelines in mind. In addition, masks and hand sanitizer will be readily available.

It all started in September 2008, 10th grade Spanish class. I was still wearing jerseys to school every day; a social butterfly among my guy friends but too shy to open up to the ladies. The first day of class, Shelby, a girl I always thought was beautiful but had never spoken to, was assigned the seat next to me, and started talking to me. We hit it off, I think, maybe?? I do need to own up to the fact that I pretended to like the Twilight books and movies to get her to initially hang out with me... By the end of 10th grade, I slowly but surely came to grips with my new reality: I was friend zoned. A few (or more) failed attempts at expressing my true feelings for her, including asking her to Junior Prom and then taking it back, resulted in me settling into that reality. What started out as a crush had led me to finding one of my best friends. Time carried on, I kicked my feet up and chilled in the friend zone, and that was that...until Summer 2014 heading into our Senior year of college, I caught the feels again. One late night, after $8 pitchers of Rolling Rock from the Plumstead (RIP), I said that I could really only see myself marrying a couple girls, including Shelby. Shelby, with cheap beer flowing through her veins, looked at me and agreed. My eyes widened--after all, drunk words are sober thoughts! It was in that very moment that my heart opened back up, too. Fast forward to winter 2014-2015, and Shelby was now single. After talking more and feeling as though we were transitioning to flirting, I shot my shot and we had our first date in Carlisle, PA on Valentine's Day. Despite Nick unknowingly crashing the party AND my debit card being declined, things took off from there. Anyway, that's how it happened. We became official while looking up at the stars on April 19th, 2015. Countless adventures, 5 dogs, a budding animal sanctuary business, and a home later...we bring you to July 30th, 2021. #FriendZoneToEndZone
