Love at first download? John and I orginally started talking to each other on the little old app called Hinge. We bonded over our hatred of the Dallas Cowboys....little did I know this would lead me to dating a Philadelphia Eagles fan. After bonding over our dislike for the Cowboys we decided to meet up in person on St. Partricks day in the Southside neighborhood of Pittsburgh. We met up at his friends party where John said “Just walk in and pretend like you know people here” I searched through the crowd to find him in the very back of the apartment (Eagles jersey and all of course). Before we knew it, we spent rest of the day enjoying the St. Patrick’s Day festivities and the rest was history!

John had just gotten his private pilot license and was eager to take me up with him for the first time. He had been trying to find an airport and date that worked for both our schedules amid trying to see both our families for the holidays. He finally booked time at The Northeast Philadelphia Airport. We were supposed to go up that morning, but it was a really cloudy day so there was a flight restriction. John went to the aiport first to fly with an instructor. After waiting and waiting I finally got to meet him there at 2:00pm. He took me out to plane and as he was flying me over Center City in Philadelphia he asked me to get the external GPS for him. I reached in the back and got his bag. He asked me to open it and there was the Neil Lane box. Of course right at this moment the aiport was trying to talk to him and ask for his location....so he had to be quick and to the point he said “Will you marry me?” and well obviously I said yes!
