The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo will be in full swing from March 4 to March 23! If you have an evening in Houston (other than March 8 lol) and love either carnivals, rodeos, or country music concerts, this would be a great option to try! Tickets can either be bought for just the carnival or the carnival + the show.
The Museum of Natural Science was one of Shelbye's favorite places growing up! It is at the heart of the museum district and always has rotating exhibits. Don't forget to check out the Cockrell Butterfly Center (and the bug vending machine in the basement)!
This cute little village sits just outside the Rice University campus. If you're in the mood for a walkable, small-town feel, this is the place!

Calling all space nerds! NASA Space Center is a great place to see control rooms and the Saturn V Rocket (and buy some Astronaut Ice Cream)!
Galveston Island is about 45 minutes from the venue, but is a great place to see and tour historic mansions and the historic train depot, as well as visit the beach and grab some homemade saltwater taffy at La Kings!
