This is our go-to spot for a weekend morning walk. We recommend starting from either the visitor's center from the north, or from the south parking lot next to the Seattle Japanese Garden. The Arboretum is huge and you can easily get lost there - it's perfect for a long walk. Andy proposed to Shelby at the Lookout Gazebo on April 10th, 2021. If you want to have a more curated experience, we recommend the Seattle Japanese Garden for a beautiful, scenic stroll. (If you can, do both!) The Arboretum is free, but the Japanese Garden has an admission fee of $10 per adult. Recommended boba nearby: Meraki Tea Bar (University District)
This museum, along with the Space Needle right next to it, was one of our first Seattle experiences. The museum, glass house, and the garden were all wonderfully unique and beautiful. You can get some cool reflection shots of the Space Needle at the glass garden. We also recommend visiting the Space Needle, an iconic Seattle landmark, but the wait to get to the observatory deck can be a while as there is often quite a crowd. Adult weekend admission fee to the museum is $35. Adult weekend admission fee to the Space Needle is $39. You can purchase an admission bundle of the two locations for $65. Recommended boba nearby: Rabbit Rabbit (Queen Anne)
Home to both the gorgeous Volunteer Park Conservatory and the Seattle Asian Art Museum, Volunteer Park is also a great spot for a walk. While the park itself is free to visit, the Conservatory and Museum do charge entrance fees. Admission to the Conservatory is $6 for adults. Admission to the Seattle Asian Art Museum is $18 at the door or $15 if purchased online before visiting. Recommended boba nearby: Atulea (Capitol Hill)
Pike Place Market is a classic Seattle experience. Want to see a fish get tossed? Some flowers and artisanal pasta for the evening? This is the place. There's also surprisingly great food to find here, and it is also home to the first Starbucks store. Recommended coffee nearby: Storyville Coffee Company (Pike Place)
A former oil plant that now serves as a city park. Comes with a fantastic view of the city! During the Great Heat Wave of 2021, we hid out in the parking lot here with our cats because our apartment at the time didn't have A/C. Recommended boba nearby: Young Tea (Wallingford)
Washington loves its parks! Though we've personally never been, we've heard this park (the closest one to our venue) is worth a visit. Entrance is free and the park is quite expansive. Recommended boba nearby: TRA Tea (Bellevue)
