Katie & Shelby met when Katie wrote down Shelby as a job reference for Olive Garden while in college - but had only met her once by then. Ever since Katie got that job, their friendship blossomed into sisterhood. They spent their first years out of college in Seattle sharing an apartment & became inseparable. They have so many memories taking fun trips together, finding secret happy hour spots, and always trying to get tickets to Gonzaga basketball games. This day would be impossible without her!

Anna Curtis

Matron of Honor

Anna & Shelby met in college and had the opportunity to land their first teaching job together. They became such close friends while experiencing the highs and lows of teaching together & everyone knew them as a package deal. They spent the days supporting each other as new teachers, then the weekends celebrating with Catan & white claw game nights. Anna was also the one that introduced Shelby to pho, so she gets a special shout-out for that. Anna is absolutely irreplaceable!

Chenae Anderson

Chenae & Shelby met in middle school and became very quick friends. They spent every summer by the pool or boating at the river. Even when Chenae moved away, they remained close and always found opportunities to visit one another. Chenae’s positive energy lightens up every situation!

Janice will tell you that she was Shelby’s first friend when she moved schools, and she would be right. She saw Shelby sitting alone on the first day and came right over to make a new friend. Since then, they’ve experienced high school, college, and adulthood together. They remained close friends even when Janice’s job has taken her all over the world. Janice is so bubbly and makes everything a blast!

Maddie & Shelby met in college in one of their math classes. Shelby relied on Maddie for her brilliant mind to help her through those advanced math classes. In college they spent their time not only studying together, but also enjoying Spokane summers, girls’ nights, and as roommates their senior year. Maddie’s confidence and smile light up any room she’s in!
