Are kids welcome?

Answer

For the celebration itself we’ve chosen to keep the guest list adults-only. This way, everyone can relax, enjoy the evening, and dance the night away with us. We truly appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate together!

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Due to space and planning, we can only accommodate those listed on your invitation. If your invite includes “and guest,” then you are welcome to bring someone along. If not, we kindly ask that you join us solo — and we promise you’ll have plenty of company on the dance floor!

What should I wear?

Answer

Ladies: cocktail, tea-length, or floor-length dresses and dressy jumpsuits — light fabrics, florals, brights, pastels, or playful prints are perfect for a July garden party. Gentlemen: suits or dressy separates (blazer + slacks or button-up + trousers). Please, no jeans. If you’re stuck, check our Dress Code Tab for ideas!

Will the ceremony/reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be indoors, followed by cocktail hour outdoors, and then we’ll head back inside for the reception. You’ll get a little of everything — but no worries, the main events (ceremony and reception) will be in the comfort of air conditioning!

Is there parking/transportation?

Answer

Yes! Parking will be available at the venue. Rideshare options (Uber/Lyft) are also reliable in the area since we’re so close to College Station. Feel free to choose whichever option works best for you.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved a room block at Candlewood Suites Navasota by IHG, located about a 15-minute drive from the venue. To reserve, please call 936-510-8700 and ask for the “Bates Wedding” room block. Looking for something different? We’ve listed additional hotel recommendations under the Travel tab on our website. There are also many options available for a range of budgets in College Station, which is approximately a 35-minute drive from the venue.

What's the best airport to fly into?

Answer

The closest option is Easterwood Airport (CLL) in College Station, just a short drive from the venue. Since it’s a smaller airport (with American Airlines only), flights can be limited and sometimes pricey. For more options, both Houston (IAH/HOU) and Austin (AUS) are great alternatives — just plan on renting a car for the drive in.
