We met at a concert and I was immediately taken. I went home that night and told my roommate at the time, "I think I just met who I'm supposed to be with." A year of friendship later, we confessed that we were more than just buddies... 8 days before Shane moved 9 hours away. And so began our 2 year long, tormenting, seemingly outrageous long-distance relationship. Though we wouldn't wish this upon anyone, it truly drove home that we were crazy about one another; you'd have to be a little crazy to make that drive every other weekend. But, the two years of distance ended and we were finally able to begin a life together (with our many pets) in the same city. It's been an adventure for the two of us from day one and luckily it only continues to be as time goes on. Following suit with our many adventures, Shane decided to pop the question atop a mountain at Zion National Park in Utah. He chose to propose at the top of a 1000+ foot summit, where both of us were out of breath and dehydrated, so much so that neither of us realized until later that we didn't actually make it to the very top of the mountain- Shane was too eager to get the question out. Though my fingers were swollen from the climb and I almost couldn't get the ring on and I was so shocked I couldn't answer right away, I eventually said "of course" to continuing our adventure. We are so excited to celebrate our love with all of those we hold so dear.
