For any crossfitter out there looking to get a good lift in before the wedding! It is very close to the wedding venue, right on the outskirts of Detroit Lakes. Call for day pass pricing.
This is a great area for mountain biking in the summer! They have certain concerts and events here as well.
A beloved Minnesota staple--a must see! Classic lake bar vibes with great pizza. Try the peanut butter pizza--it sounds gross, but its delicious.
If you're looking to golf, be sure to ask the father of the bride Ray to come along! He is always on the lookout for a golf buddy and would likely have extra clubs for out-of-towners.
A nice winery ten miles north of Detroit Lakes for all the wine and nature lovers! They are only open Friday and Saturday, with some Sundays. Check the website for hours!
This is an all time MUST for any history buff. The Annual Steam Thresher's Reunion is full of historical mills, buildings and trains for a walk down (someone's) memory lane. A favorite of Fargo North Dakota schools to visit on their third grade school trip. Labor Day weekend, Sept 2-5, are the dates the event is open. Definitely make sure to get some homemade rocky road ice cream (the Bride's favorite).
For those that will be in DL for the weekend, catch a Sunday Church Service at Christian Fellowship with the family of the Bride! It is almost right across the street from the Holiday Inn on Detroit Lake. They are an independent church. Service consists of a teaching from the Bible, worship, and fellowship time.
