Nick was the cute guy on stage playing guitar while I hid in the tech booth. We became friends for a few years while volunteering at church. One day, my wonderful coworker/friend Jacklynn invited me to her birthday party. Nick was the only one I really knew and that's when we clicked; perfect timing and all that gushy love stuff. We started to hang out outside of church and quickly became best friends. Nick asked me to officially be his girlfriend the day after his birthday.

Nick and I went on a trip to Catalina Island. We rode bikes around the island, soaking in the sun, then Nick stopped and said, "let's take a picture on the beach" - he asked a stranger to take the picture which he never does, and then in the next moment he was down on one knee. The look in his eyes said it all. I couldn't say yes fast enough.
