They say never date coworkers, but going against that advice was the best thing to truly happen to the two of them. It started as being lunch buddies, getting Greek food here, Pancheros there, going to the DSM farmer's market with Matt's cowboy hat ready, and even a late night of getting Matt a new car battery, to Shelby finally asking Matt out on a date - which was one fast yes if I ever saw one! One I-Cubs game was all it took. Four years, two apartments, a house, and three beautiful springer pups later, Matt and Shelby are finally getting married. You can find them 90% of the time at home, with their springer spaniels Mabel and Pepper, Theodore supervising from Heaven, Shelby is usually reading a book or watching a crime show (she can't get enough of it at work apparently) and Matt is in his office, chatting with his friends and figuring out how to get Shelby to watch a Western (he has succeeded a few times with great approval). We can't wait to see where this journey takes us.
