We're tying the knot!

Julian and Shelby first met in the Sacramento State Drumline in 2012. We clicked immediately in person and spent time with the drumline during rehearsal and on game days.

Shelby and Julian worked together in the Child Care at California Family Fitness starting in January 2013. The following summer, Shelby and Julian started teaching the drumline together at Antelope High School for the Fall 2013 season. Outside of work, Shelby and Julian spent time together working out at the gym at CalFit, brainstorming teaching ideas for Antelope, and learning more about each other. They became best friends.

Shelby and Julian's first date didn't start as a date. In fact, Julian almost slept through it. Luckily, he woke up just before Shelby was getting on the freeway to go home. She picked him up and they went to the game. After the game, they decided to spend more time together at The Office, a dive bar around the corner from Julian's house. They ended up closing the bar and spent more time at Julian's house afterward. Just friends turned to more than friends.
