How Did This Begin?

On January 24, 2018 my best friend, Kassidy, sent me a text sent to her from Michael. Michael was telling Kassidy that John Mark and I should meet. Of course, Kassidy agreed. She sent me the most recent pictures from his page and told me about him. (She knew how incredibly picky I am.) She mentioned maybe we had already met before at the river and threw in the fact he had a German Shepherd. I said "Nope, didn't see a GSD at the river. I hate GSDs would remember it." (Meanwhile, said GSD is cuddled up next to my feet as I am writing this.) Naturally, I added him on Instagram. His page consisted mostly of the dog I had no intentions of meeting. HA. But, I REALLY wanted to meet JM. Lake described him as what I would call a dream boy. (Thanks, Lake.) The Kirby's had a party and I was assured that John Mark would be there. March 3, 2018- If you know me, I am the farthest from shy. I remember when JM walked into the room, the hat, the jeans, all of it. My cheeks got red and I remember thinking WHAT IN THE WORLD? Michael asked why I haven't gone and talked JM yet. He eventually sat next to me during flip cup and I still couldn't get any words out. A week later, my friend's planned the most wonderful birthday in the world for my 26th. Guess who came to the party? I dropped the ball again and said about 3 words all night and was really kicking myself, AGAIN. April 14, 2018- A bunch of us went out and I remember Michael coming up and telling me to GO TALK TO HIM! Like any normal person would do, I drank enough to tequila to not feel my cheeks turn red he walked by. I'll spare all the details, but I shot my shot and it worked. You must be wondering how did Mace go from "the hated German Shepherd" to the most loved angel puppy? He picked me first. The first night I met him, he laid down next to me. (If you know Mace, he is a bottom of the bed/foot cuddler, not a pillow sharer) It was game over from there. He is now is best described as a Mama's Boy. HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

For all the days along the way
